Boxer Paul Brown was preparing for his 3rd professional fight, and his manager approached us via social media to discuss a potential promotional video to showcase his training and build hype for the fight which would be featured on JE Sports Network.
The mission.
The plan was simple; Produce a video for Paul that would make any opponent think twice about stepping into the ring with him. We wanted to develop a story and highlight both the mental and physical challenges Paul had to overcome to be ready to battle his opponent.
A glimpse into the world of a professional boxer.
Building the concept.
Our goals were:
- Promote Paul’s upcoming fight
- Attract new sponsorship
The first day was spent at Waugh Machines Gym, where we focused on capturing shots of Paul’s conditioning training. The second day of shooting was spent at PEJ Boxing Academy, filming Paul Brown’s boxing technique in action. The majority of the content was shot at a high frame rate to allow us to ”slow down time”. This method worked best when capturing fast action, high impact, bold movements.
In the beginning we see Paul standing in contemplation for his fight, having flashbacks to his arduous training, and finally we see he’s confident and battle-ready.
In the lead up to the fight, our team was also able to produce a 30 second ad to sell additional tickets to the event and build suspense in Paul’s rising fanbase for the 90 second video.
Impressive result.
Our promotional video added to Paul’s Professional Boxing profile.
Our production was a main part of his marketing campaign and helped his event sell out.
